I have finished my next story more quickly than I expected. The Crawling Hill is a crossover between the Laundry Files and Gate: Thus the JSDF Fought There.
Unlike my other fanfiction, this story is rather graphic, but hopefully plausibly and not gratuitously.
I'm still uploading each chapter of The Hedgehog's Resolution weekly, but I've decided there's no need to wait four months to begin uploading The Crawling Hill.
Hi! Love the post. Reader of #TheLaundryFiles series. (I get others interested by describing the scene in The Rhesus Chart where the poor office drone is confused by his having torn a steel door out of the wall.) The post had a minor factual error I wanted to point out.
Pedestrians always have the right of way in the #USA unless they're on a pedestrian-barred interstate (>55 M.P.H. roads, often with concrete barriers). These are the federally-chartered post-WWII roads that were inspired by the German autobahns. The motorist is usually at-fault in court for any vehicle-pedestrian collision, but is only cited by the police if they clearly could have done something obvious to be more responsible. We even force drunk drivers to use a special license plate so other motorists know to call the police if that kind of a car is swerving or behaving strangely.
Have a great day!
Seems like someone is protecting The New Management
Identical wording placing limits on the export of quantum computers has appeared in regulations across the globe. There doesn't seem to be any scientific reason for the controls, and all can be traced to secret international discussions
"Did you ever wonder why the 21st century feels like we're living in a bad cyberpunk novel from the 1980s?
"It's because these guys read those cyberpunk novels and mistook a dystopia for a road map. They're rich enough to bend reality to reflect their desires."

#TheLaundryFiles #NewManagement
@cstross I was determined to end my Audible subscription but The #Laundry Files - New Management book 03 - Season of Skulls was just too tempting to say no to. Can’t wait to get my teeth into it!
