In 2015 a friend of mine signed up, as a lark, to be a prospective Election Monitor for the circumspect/implicit purpose of traveling, on call, to intimidate voters in neighboring states who might be expected to turn out members of the large wing of disruptors placed into uncontested seats for the purpose of stopping the Public's representative body from passing any legislation or getting any of its savings invested. These vigilante recruits would also be expected to block local commerce and to shout fascist (or mostly meaningless) slogans at polling places, and ensure that early-voting ballot boxes became somehow inaccessible if you catch my drift. He got a message recently to head to NJ when voters there were about to select a new progressive governor. But this wasn't Europe. So, thank god it can't happen here.
