As the new season of *Monarch: Legacy of Monsters* approaches, we’re getting more news on the recently greenlit spinoff starring Wyatt Russell as the younger Colonel Lee Shaw.

Production will begin in this spring.

While *Monarch: Legacy of Monsters* is laying down foreshadowing for the new show, Russell and the EPs are promising a tonally different, more talky Cold War spy thriller that still has the titans.

I’m proud to have a chapter in the book discussing the idea that while most people think Rhimes is ‘only’ a feminist, her writings have always expressed an even wider humanist philosophy.   

I can only hope that my upcoming The Works of Susan Harris will make the same list. Look for it in late 2026.
