I've had the interesting experience recently where my challenges with mornings (I am very not a morning person) have been much shorter lived. Is not that I like mornings, but I seem to be able to get up over that more quickly, get focused on what needs done, and do it. This lead me to doing a bunch of things in a different order today, curious what the outcome would be like. Typically, I make some food and coffee, read work emails and plan my day, put my child on the bus, and then come back home and do a quick meditation session before digging into the meat of my day. Today, I tried meditating before going to the bus stop. This also happens to be before my #adhd meds kick in. And boy howdy was it a very different experience.
If anything, this has absolutely renewed my sense of gratitude at having taken the steps to get a diagnosis and medication. I finally know what quiet sounds like.
Five of Blades: Conflict, disagreement, winning above all
Both the suite of Blades and the 5's in tarot can be about conflict. Blades are about movement, agility, and possibly violence. Fives are about moving out of equilibrium, the beginnings of conflict. Combined this seems to indicate either the end of something balanced, or the beginning of a conflict.
I don't immediately see any connections here to my own life, but that's how these things work sometimes. The only connection I'm quickly drawing is to a reminder that winning "at all costs" might not actually be winning at all. Its better to be defeated and remain true to yourself than to give up yourself in order to win. That alone runs contrary to a lot of pop culture and world view at the moment, where success is everything.
So, maybe define your own metrics for success.
