Took a 'crack' at fixing a tail light. It was cracked and filling with water. Drilled out the bottom of the crack as a stress relief, ground the crack back into a V shape, filled with clear 2-part epoxy then after curing sanded down to 7000 grit and polished.

The surface is smooth/shiney and it's watertight now, though the split in the plastic still shows prominently below the surface. Not great, but only 10% the cost of a new part.
