I originally asked this on my worldbuilding account but realised I may get more of an answer on my main due to my amount of followers…

I have looking at my list of Apple-tans/kuns for my OS-tan universe and thinking whenever “System Software 5” should still be a distinct character… but what really makes System Software 5 that distinct enough to be its own character? I already have a catch-all character for System 3 and System 4.

A System 5-tan already sort of exists as a ghost character but I want something different. System Software 5 is just a software bundle which included System 4.2, Finder version 6.0, MultiFinder 1.0 and LaserWriter version 5.0 as there was never a System file that was ever numbered "version 5”
