I've mostly always driven #superminis and am regularly on the road late at night - whilst I've noticed other drivers take more chances if I'm in something like the shed of an #Opel / #Vauxhall #Corsa we use as a fleet car, I rarely get bother in the #VWPolo - but I suspect many they see a brown man who looks younger than he is, think "he's probably got a knife in the door card" and their paranoia is the only thing stopping any conflict..

@jfmezei DEC computers had third-party hardware accelerators available in the VAX era, and VAX was commonly used as a front-end for contemporary supercomputers, but DEC never offered supers.

The VAX 9000 Aquarius (Aridus) was a “mainframe”, per DEC marketing.

Closest DEC got to a super was probably that Alpha-based Cray T3E, and maybe the VAXvector Vector Accelerators.

#Carflation is also an issue here in #Europe, even with #superminis and #hatchbacks - a former staff member owned an #VWPolo Typ AW (the latest variant since 2018) and it is noticeably wider than my Typ 6C (and very slightly longer by about 100mm).

The Polo already has solid bodywork and a good safety rating since at least the 2000s (if not even before then) - so the growth in size is more to benefit the driver and other occupants by providing more interior room..
