I just finished watching #SummertimeRendering. I'd rate it between good and very good. Not entirely sure. 7.5/10 maybe? My biggest complaint would be that it's very anime in places, but then again it *is* an anime, so what am I complaining about, eh? Maybe because it starts off very mysterious and supernatural'ey, but then resorts to anime tropes to continue its narration? I dunno, I might be too harsh there. After all, I did enjoy it and do recommend it.

#CoxNCrendor were talking anime on the latest episode of their podcast, so I checked out two of them.

#SpaceDandy so far seems to be a ridiculous space comedy. Not sure I can get behind that.

#SummerTimeRendering now looks really intriguing though! It's got those typical anime slapstick moments, but underneath that, there seems to be a very dark and serious murder mystery. I'm probably going to watch more of that. The title is so weird too. "Rendering"? It's a bit glitchy too sometimes.

Finished watching #SummerTimeRendering, an #anime that is kind of bad but somehow still enjoyable. It suffers from poor writing, being too long, and uninspired animation. But it makes up with nostalgia, as it reminds me of early 90s movies that involve teens/young adults vs great evil, like #DreamWarriors. The time travel hook is cool but can’t decide if it’s supernatural or sci-fi. It honestly feels like they were making it up as it went along.

This is an anime you watch while you do dishes.

I've just finished #SummerTimeRendering (the #anime). Overall, it's a very fun time loop story, though I do have some, uh, existential questions about Shinpei and Ushio? More thoughts under the spoiler cut in the next post, please skip it if you aren't familiar with the series.
I'm watching #SummerTimeRendering! My memories of the original #manga are kind of foggy, so I'm enjoying the plot twists a lot. I think I didn't like the final battle all THAT much when I read it for the first time, but it didn't ruin the story for me or anything, I simply felt it wasn't quite as great as the earlier chapters. The very last scenes were fine though.
