@Scofisticated #RoosterFighter is definitely a Viz thing. They're on the production committee for that #anime. I imagine Adult Swim probably put a little money towards its production in exchange for first-run broadcast rights, but not enough to be on the committee, similar to #SpaceDandy.
The only upcoming animated Max Originals I can think of are the ones tied to the DCU and maybe some more Adventure Time, since that seems to be the only successful CN franchise on HBO Max.
