#starflyer59 has been one of the most constant musical companions in my life for 30 years now.
In the #90s it was guitar heavy #shoegaze with lamentations about teenage heart break - which spoke to me at the time.
His style morphed over the years towards indie-pop/indie-rock.
Here on his 17th album he returns to shoegaze but with songwriting now focused on middle-aged contemplation and nostalgia. Which speaks to my current stage of life.
It's a double dose of nostalgia for me and I love it.
