rLokWe visited the Suwon Starfield Library in January 2024. This is a beautiful space in the middle of the Starfield Suwon shopping centre. It isn't worth a trip to Suwon to visit by itself, but if you are in Suwon and have the time, it's worth dropping in (and Suwon is worth visiting).

After breakfast at the RYSE, we went to Gangnam to meet up with friends. We visited Bongeunsa, followed by Seolleung and Jeongneung Royal Tombs and the Starfield Library. We ended up at Hongdae for dinner.

Gangnam Style
After our usual breakfast at the RYSE, we took the subway over to Gangnam to meet up with friends. We started out at Bongeunsa, a Buddhist temple, followed by lunch at Haidilao. In the afternoon, we visited the nearby Seolleung and Jeongneung Royal Tombs before returning to the Starfield COEX Mall to visit the Starfield Library. We ended the day back at Hongdae for dinner.

The MES TimesThe Starfield Library in Seoul, inaugurated on May 31st, 2017, spans an impressive 2,800 square meters across two floors within the renowned Starfield Coex Mall.
Its striking design features towering bookshelves up to 13 meters high, housing a diverse collection of 50,000 books and nearly 600 magazines.
Visitors are captivated by the ever-changing art installations, including a whimsical fruit and vegetable tree and a majestic tower of books, enhancing the library's aesthetic appeal.
Shinsegae, the owner, invested 6 billion won in its development and allocated 500 million annually for its upkeep.
Remarkably, the library's presence has revitalized foot traffic within the mall, drawing both locals and tourists to its unique blend of culture and commerce.
