I'm at #ssha2022 (Social Science History Association) meetings in Chicago. An observation: sessions on mapping historical social data mostly unmasked white men, sessions on global crisis mostly masked BIPOC. 🤔

South-South migrations increase more than South-North. Moreover, the South-South rates do not include huge internal migrations in states like China and India. (Presentation by Jim Hollifield at #ssha2022 )
