Haven't stopped over here in a while, but wanted to share this great news -- received my editor's copies this week and it looks fabulous. 🤗 New chapters on decolonial research, 'encountering the digital', critical physical geography, activist archival research, GeoHumanities and creative methods, more-than- human approaches, and a beautiful chapter on writing. Returning chapters updated to address remote work / pandemic challenges, racial justice concerns, and technological advances.

Today is #TransDayofRemembrance when we honor and remember trans lives taken by violence. How horrifying that a deadly attack upon the LGBTQ+ community in Colorado Springs should occur right before this solemn day.
Hate isn’t born in us. It is taught. It must end.
This starts with our political leaders, who must cease their cynical attacks against our community before another attack occurs.
Call out the hate. Remind them of its consequences. Hold them to account.

I'm at #ssha2022 (Social Science History Association) meetings in Chicago. An observation: sessions on mapping historical social data mostly unmasked white men, sessions on global crisis mostly masked BIPOC. 🤔
