The #solarsystem is full of dirty little ice balls. They may become brightly visible as they approach our #sun, leaving behind tails of gas and dust. The word #comet comes from the Greek komētēs, meaning "long hair." Chinese uses 彗星 (huì xīng), meaning "broom star." Indeed, ancient Chinese #astronomers recorded the direction that the broom handle pointed in order to describe such phenomena.

Any other #language roots for comet?

The density of water is 1000kg/m^3. Overall, #Saturn is less dense at 773kg/m^3. Therefore, it is often said that if you could put said #planet into a giant bathtub of #water, it would float. Sounds reasonable.
But for those of us who LOVE to overthink things, here's a fun article where they've done the overthinking for you! (#Spoiler: Saturn WON'T float).

In 1965, #astronauts Wally Schirra and Thomas Stafford played the first musical #instruments in space while aboard Gemini 6. The #harmonica and bells were used to play "Jingle Bells" as part of a festive joke, while both #Gemini 6&7 crews reported spotting #Santa from orbit (both missions were in orbit simultaneously to test perform a rendezvous).

space appreciation is really taking off! (🚀) Not only did Spotify wrapped include planet imagery, but my “Reddit Recap” measured my time on the site by trips to the moon! (please don’t judge me for how much time I spent on Reddit this year) #Astrodon #astronomy #space #spaceappreciation
