I know you were all very concerned so I'm happy to say that a bit of that grippy shelf liner stuff is keeping my paddles in place nicely. No more sliding all over the desk.
And I didn't have to resort to any masonry screws.
Facing a complex problem can be daunting to say the least. But if we're genuinely humble and cooperative with the process of working our way through it ... Success in solving our problem is right around the corner.

what is your usual and first way of solving complex issues in real life? considering the issue has to be solved asap.
As a rule, if you only create one new problem when solving another problem you are doing pretty good.
Most solutions tend toward exponential problem creation regimes.
