For tonight's #SKCC 2-hour sprint, I fed about 50 feet of wire through the top pickets of a 6-ft high stockade fence as a lopsided dipole. Actually managed 28 contacts with it. Think I'll leave it set up that way and see how it performs for Field Day later this weekend. #HamRadio
I haven't been on HF since February. I was gifted with the makings of a very basic end-fed random wire antenna before I moved, and got it set up running across my new fence this afternoon. Needs a lot of tweaking, but I'm glad to have made some legitimate contacts for the June #SKCC #HamRadio sprint. My score this month will be terrible, but anything greater than 0 is a win in my book right now.

Hanging out on 20M handing out my #SKCC NR for the Weekend Sprintathon for a few minutes with my WW2 vintange Lionel BUG and IC-7300 this afternoon. SKCC is a very chill morse ‘CW’ experience.

so, i made a bunch of #CW contacts on #SKCC this weekend. On closing QSOs, I did the full “shave and a haricut" instead of dit-dit.. and it was totally cool to hear that other ops were doing the same thing.

This weekend, I am gonna participate in the #SKCC #WES ..

Since this is #StraightKey territory, I am gonna end call contacts with the old school "shave and a haircut" instead of just sending dit-dit.

Just cuz that was my favorite part of #MorseCode back when all I had was the #novice band on #40m.

For two weeks, my QRZ.com page unintentionally said I was a member of the “Silent Key Century Club”. Guess I was getting about fifty years’ head start! #amateurradio #hamradio #skcc
Got my coffee with #bencher #straightkey connected to my #tentec #corsair560 and settled in for the @skccgroup #skcc #weekendsprintathon #hamradio #amateurradio CW #morsecode
Finally a 36 hour reprieve from thunderstorms and rain. Took time to make some #SKCC #SKCCgroup @skccgroup #HamRadio #MorseCode CW contacts before it starts again on Saturday.
Just saw this video featuring my friend Ken, N8KR, talking about all things #SKCC for #HamRadio operators interested in CW with mechanical keys: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjEw2cDktvM
