This weekend, I am gonna participate in the #SKCC #WES ..
Since this is #StraightKey territory, I am gonna end call contacts with the old school "shave and a haircut" instead of just sending dit-dit.
Just cuz that was my favorite part of #MorseCode back when all I had was the #novice band on #40m.
One of many #MorseCode #CW contacts during the @skccgroup

Development idea. Spoof #straightkey #cw #keyer
Many years back I wrote some phototypesetter code to spoof hand typed text for folk who wanted to pretend they had a secretary: variable weight, not all on the base line, some letter pairs closer than others.
I'm not still writing code but consider a keyer with an imposed, customised #fist, with just enough randomisation to look human.
Just for a giggle
"Every operator develops a distinctive style of sending so that he can be recognized readily by those who work with him constantly. [...] Mr. S., a dispatcher of much experience, works daily with forty or fifty men and states that, after hearing four or five words, he can readily recognize the sender, or be sure that he is not one of his men."
