You can tell a lot about someone by the amount of time they spend shit-talking about other people. Many shit-talkers are highly adept at presenting the illusion of intimacy when they're secretly looking for some new quality to hate within the very people inside their circle so that they can use THESE stories as a kind of social currency to infiltrate other circles. It must be an exhausting way to live. It's much easier to marvel at the qualities of other people.
