Es gibt Thriller, die noch an den Mythos der rationalen Ordnung glauben, Serienmorde als Puzzle lösen und Ermittlungen als intellektuelles Spiel genießen. Am Ende steht dann meistens irgendeine Wahrheit, sauber rekonstruiert, so als hätte Gewalt etwa eine präzise Logik. Genau in der Tradition bewegt sich auch dieser Film von Afonso Poyart. Er will düster sein, philosophisch, fast metaphysisch. Doch unter seiner Oberfläche steckt ein erstaunlich konservatives Weltbild über Schuld, Wissen und Kontrolle.
