The Sousbach springs below the Schilthorn, flows first into the Weisse Lütschine, which in turn flows into the Schwarze Lütschine and finally flows into Lake Brienz as Lütschine, whose water flows first as Aare and later as the Rhine in Hoek van Holland into the sea. 🌊

I saw some interesting sunset shadows. A bright red band across the mountains, and Schilthorn throwing a shadow cone across the clouds.

The first section (Stechelberg-Mürren) will be the steepest cablecar in the world (max 159%). Previous record was cablecar Loen‒Syklift in Norway (max 133%).

Tomorrow, 2.5 years after construction begin, the first two sections of the new cablecar between Stechelberg and Birg is taken into operation (Stechelberg-Mürren and Mürren-Birg). The last section (Birg-Schilthorn/Piz Gloria) will follow in March.
