I haven't been crossposting between here and Twitter but I want to put this here also. This is Thanksgiving dinner for me because, after managing to carefully avoid it for 3 years, I came back from #SBLAAR2022 #sblaar22 with #covid. I'm #thankfull that I am vaxed, boosted, and was able to get quick access to Paxlovid so I'm feeling okay. Sad to miss my #Thanksgiving plans but feeling pretty lucky overall
#sblaar22 book haul, minus Strack & Billerbeck Vol. 1 (which is shipping later).
So long, Denver. This visit was good for my soul. #sblaar22
And finally, Andrew Mein, who can’t be entered into the quote of the conference competition because he was mean about my baroque paintings, but who asks “What happens if the illustrator is an idiot?” #SBLAAR22
A thought provoking response from @[email protected], including a contender for quote of the conference after (correctly!) pronouncing Cleophas “Look, I’m AAR not SBL” #SBLAAR22
And now a super response from my new amigo @[email protected] #SBLAAR22
A pleasure to hear @[email protected] talking about her @[email protected] book Drawn to the Word - The Bible and Graphic Design. Still time to buy it before you go home! #SBLAAR22
Today at #sblaar22 I present in the #digitalhumanities session. I'll be introducing two modules from my desktop application, Criticus. Criticus is a suite of tools for helping to move between manuscript transcription, collation, analysis, and publishing.
And in more fun cohesion, Romanos just appeared in Felicity Harley-McGowan’s paper on Lukas criminals and crucifixion iconography. #SBLAAR22
There’s my friend @[email protected] bringing the 🔥 (and to be fair, also the 🕊️) on the Holy Spirit in the Hymns of Romanos the Melodist. #SBLAAR22
