Every time I log on here, all the trending stories are about the new boss or right-wing rage threads and all the people I follow are still discussing that weird nightstand pic so in other news still covid-negative a week out from #sblaar2022 and here's a picture of a cat:
I haven't been crossposting between here and Twitter but I want to put this here also. This is Thanksgiving dinner for me because, after managing to carefully avoid it for 3 years, I came back from #SBLAAR2022 #sblaar22 with #covid. I'm #thankfull that I am vaxed, boosted, and was able to get quick access to Paxlovid so I'm feeling okay. Sad to miss my #Thanksgiving plans but feeling pretty lucky overall
The amount of people I know at #SBLAAR2022 makes me have some serious FOMO, but I also totally do not want to do any higher academic study or submit papers to conferences.

Matthew Crawford compares/contrasts how Julian the Apostate & Cyril of Alexandria interpret myth in OT and Greek literature. While both were open to non-literal readings, Cyril restricts scope of myth and emphasizes continuity between original. and Xtn interpretation #SBLAAR2022
A video I've made about #Daoist body charts & landscape paintings in medieval China premieres today with the Daoist Studies unit at the American Academy of Religion's annual conference in Denver. Eventually, I'll post the link to the actual video #SBLAAR2022
Wishing all my friends and colleagues have a great, insightful time in Denver this weekend at #SBLAAR2022! Hope to see a few of you in Philly for #AHA23
Probably not going to be live-tweeting my experiences here at #sblaar2022 but will maybe post some awkward academic selfies over on the instagrams.
