I wear cycling gear for longer journeys and my commute (they're not made of lycra), but I'm just not a prick.

And I definitely agree with you: I am willing to bet good money - well, some money - that loads of those pricks transport their overpriced bikes around on the back of their Audis to the place they *then* decide to cycle around.

But yeah, I'm all about the bell, and responsible use of it!

Yeah, we have something similar here - having a bell on a pedal cycle in a public place is a legal requirement here in Ireland (except those used for racing).

(I think in the UK, it's mandatory to sell a bike with a bell attached, but not to have a bell on the bike in general. Which is just weird, but then so are they..)

Or those Strava wankers out on the Clontarf cycle path, trying to set PBs in amongst all the kids and social groups.

One of those one day aggressively barrelled past me on my way to wherever, so I sped up, sat on his wheel and draughted him the whole way along. He was disgusted.

@baoigheallain Honest to god, I try to always lightly ding my bell from a distance when on a shared path coming up behind people, just so people aren't surprised by me cycling slowly by, and you'd swear some of them have heard gunshots.
