So I tried this the other day. I expected it to be an intense assault of dark fruit, though without all the weight of Amarone. But it was light, with cherry and strawberry tones, and dusty, powdery tannins. I’d drink it again, and it would be fair to put it in the same “light, textured reds” bracket as Pinot Noir or Bardolino (which shares its origin in Corvina). 8/10
