Fantastic Southern Rhone inspired blend from California. It has a prime flavour of salinity, then stone fruit and flowers. Acidity is not prominent which is what I like in my whites. Easy to drink on its own, totally recommend. #wine #winelover #winetasting #winegeek
At first it put me off with acidity and more acidity. After five minutes it mutated, and it turns out it's more tangerine. After another 5 minutes, a softer shy background appears, stone fruit. And finally, after a few more minutes, a sweet long honeysuckle finish completes the bouquet. Pale gold in colour, medium body.
For being an entry level wine, it does great things although it has to improve on early first impressions ๐Ÿ˜‚ #wine #winetasting #winelover #winegeek
Brilliant wine, price/quality ratio is unbelievable. For a 9ยฃ it has everything you need. Doesn't have much complexity, I tasted red berries and black peppers, more of background actors. Overall it's a great wine, would buy again. #wine #winetasting #winelover #winegeek
Opened a #Barolo for my birthday and it was a bit underwhelming. #wine #winetasting #winelover #winegeek
#gnocchi alla sorrentina paired with #NizzaRiserva DOCG #Barbera #wine it was gorgeous. Woody, soft tannins, high acidity. Velvety and elegant. Absolutely gorgeous. #winelover #winetasting #winegeek #foodie
For our #xmasdinner #christmasdinner we had a #Barolo and a #PouillyFume #wine. Both fenomenal. PF had flavours of hazelnut, passion fruit, honeysuckle. Barolo was more smokey, game-y and mushrooms. #winelover #winetasting #winegeek
Exceptional. Strong, bold but easy to drink. Somewhat woody, plums, smoke. Not too deep in colour, medium finish. I bet it's great to elucubrate with friends. Absolutely recommend #wine #winetasting #winelover #winegeek
The only grape so far that I haven't liked any bottles I tasted it's #CheninBlanc but I refuse to believe I can't find a grape I won't enjoy. Still looking into it. #wine #winetasting #winelover #winegeek
#wine had a nice dinner with friends on Saturday. We started off with a #Soave classico, it was gorgeous. Soave is so underrated, people should really give it a go, one of the best whites from #italy. We then moved to a #Riesling and this was... Odd. The smell was putting us off a bit, reminded us of open fields and cattle. The taste saved it a bit, it was very honey rich. I'll try other Rieslings in the future, hopefully I'll find one more to my taste. #winelover #winetasting #winegeek
