On Saturday, the Liverpool Echo reported how chanting children led the charge, at a "hunger march" through the streets of Liverpool as hundreds of people rallied for the right to food.

Demonstrations also took place in London and Belfast, with protesters claiming that "hunger is a political choice" of the British Government.
