Here's a temporary home for my shukogyoku medaka (Japanese rice fish) I just picked up from another hobbyist.

I will put in a bigger bowl soon and lots of plants since they'll be protected from the goldies (who eat all plants except the water lilies) too!

Just dropping a little video of the small indoor ricefish pond I have in a corner of my office. These are platinum medaka. Mini ponds like this are a great alternative for those who live in an upper floor apartment and can’t have a heavy aquarium. The little tub is from a local Asian market and the stand is from a thrift store. Medaka don’t need a filter or heater as long as they have plenty of plants. 🐟😊🌱
