I'm thinking about #rhymes thanks to Janis Ian's lines:
Remember those who win the game
Lose the love they sought to gain

Game and gain are not perfect rhymes. The final consonants are different. But aside from that final consonant, the words are pronounced identically (going by the pronunciation I was taught).

Perfect rhymes are when words are pronounced the same from the stressed vowel all the way to the end, like rhyme and time.

But is there a name for the opposite: where words are pronounced the same up to and including the stressed vowel? Like game and gain?
