Le groupe est entièrement démantelé à la mi-novembre 1943. Ses membres sont longuement torturés avant d'être fusillés au Mont Valérien le 21 février 1944. Tous les membres ont refusé d'avoir les yeux bandés.

Des photographies d'une exécution de résistants grecs par des soldats allemands en mai 1944 ont été mises récemment aux enchères sur Internet. La découverte de ces documents a suscité une vive émotion dans le pays, entraînant l'arrêt de la vente par les autorités grecques, qui les a déclaré patrimoine national.

En 1940, en Francee, il y a quelques actes epars de résistance : un drapeau tricolore accroché à la flèche de la cathédrale de Nantes, quelques tracts, des manifestations, voir des grèves.
Ces actes, presque anodins, sont tout de même très dangereux. Arrêtés, les proto resistants seretrouvent en prison et parfois condamnés à mort.
Les actions s'organisent dans des collectifs déjà constitués, comme des églises ou des syndicats. Certains commencent à éditer des journaux clandestins (libération, l'homme livre, la voix du Nord...)
