March 2nd will be a day of nationally-coordinated, simultaneous direct action all across the country as members of the Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival converge at their state Capitols. We will bring the demands of 140 million poor and low-wealth people directly to lawmakers and challenge their distorted moral narratives, which they use to deepen inequality. Together, we can ensure that the days of poverty and low-wages - and the unnecessary cruelty of abandonment amidst abundance - are numbered. This Assembly will bring together residents from across Texas to stand in solidarity for voting rights, healthcare, immigration, living wages, education, and more. We will build up the power of people to serve as a vehicle for a powerful moral movement and to transform the political, economic and moral structures of our society and our state.
