Al KathIn una campagna congiunta @ItaLinuxSociety e @fsfe rilanciano sulla “tassa Windows”. Ovvero il balzello che costringe gli utenti di software libero a pagare le licenze windows incluse in tutti i computer nuovi. Negli anni qualcosa è cambiato, ma ottenere i rimborsi è complicato.
“Costringere i consumatori ad acquistare software ogni volta che acquistano un nuovo dispositivo, senza la possibilità di rifiutare il pacchetto software, è contrario alla neutralità del dispositivo . Inoltre, è illegale quando i produttori non consentono ai consumatori di recuperare i costi di licenza del software non utilizzato”
