Another really lovely Redcar #parkrun this morning, it was very warm already by 9am but luckily the park has a lot of tree shade so it wasn't too bad.

I'd meant to volunteer after getting my 25 milestone last week, but for once all the roles I can do filled up well in advance! So instead we rocked up to run it in our matching milestone t-shirts because I guess we're parkrun dorks now.

One of the long-time regulars did his 500th run today, in his 80s. There were cakes, a banner, and a big honour guard of friends seeing him over the finish line. Was great!

Another trip to lovely #Redcar #parkrun this week, to cheer on a runner doing his 500th (!) parkrun. Lovely weather, lovely atmosphere, idyllic park, and free cupcakes to erase the good the run did! Hurrah!

25th #parkrun milestone, achieved! Ugly purple t-shirt here I come! ๐Ÿฅณ

A lovely sunny morning, everyone in good spirits, and @davetansley ran with me to celebrate which is always a nice time.

I could do without him describing it as "unhurried" in his own post, though, given that I was 1 second off my event PB!

For the first two laps, these ducks were asleep on the grass and it was adorable. By the time I remembered to get a photo on the last lap they'd woken up, but they're still pretty cute.

Back to Redcar for the second week in a row, as it was their event's 14th anniversary today! It's for sure my favourite local #parkrun, and Locke Park was looking particularly good today in the sunshine.

I ended up in a group sprint finish situation with a guy carrying a speaker on his back and a lady pushing a baby in a pram. Both managed to beat me, but such is life ๐Ÿ˜„

A lovely morning for a parkwalk!

Yesterday I jeffed my first ever 10k, so today was take easy and I joined the many other walkers at #Redcar #parkrun.

There were two guys near me, doing it for the very first time. We had the usual bit of banter and I saw them going for a sprint finish at the end after walking the whole way round so I think they enjoyed it and hopefully they'll be back.

p.s. yes, I totally drove us there too ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Redcar parkrun for us this morning, and I was definitely not in the mood to go for anything drastic.

Decided to see if, after all the Jeffing recently, I can actually still run the whole thing without stopping! And I'm happy to say that I can, and got myself a new course PB in the process despite taking it fairly easy.

It always feels like really good vibes there, lots of friendly banter among the middle aged lady pace group, sometimes you get to see a train go past but sadly not today. There's always next time!
