We finally got the redbud in the ground, after clearing some rubble away. The surroundings are still quite unappealing, since our old house is being restored/reconstructed, and there's construction stuff all around, but it will look really nice one day 😉

Eastern Redbud, this flowering tree is another plant that I was introduced to later in life. My wife read about them and then talked about them when we drove down to Asheville NC for our single work away from home Covid move. Eastern redbud (Cercis canadensis) doing its strange cauliflory thing. I planted three in my front yard and for the next several weeks people will stop in awe and ask what species it is.
