What's the creepiest, most unexplainable thing that has ever happened to you in real life?
(Not childhood spooky stories, but real events that don't cause ordinary fear, but some deep, ancient, primordial "what the actual fuck is this?" feeling)

One of the strongest cases that still won't let me go (about 10–12 years ago):

Middle of the night in my grandma's old house in a very remote village.
I wake up suddenly — the overwhelming feeling that someone is staring straight at me, very intently.
I open my eyes — about a meter from the bed, right by the window, stands a tall, unnaturally thin, absolutely dark silhouette.
Not black. Not a shadow. It's a shape that literally devours light — no face, no details, just a deep dark void in human form.
I couldn't move at all. We just… stared at each other (well, I stared at the place where a face should be).

Then this thing suddenly, **inhumanly fast** (like skipped frames in a video), leans its whole upper body toward me.
And in my head (not in my ears — directly in my mind), very calmly, without any emotion:
"Not here."

I black out instantly.

In the morning I wake up like nothing happened. I tell myself it was just sleep paralysis, happens sometimes.
I go to the window — and on the windowsill lie **three perfectly dry maple leaves**, neatly arranged in a fan shape.
The window was locked from the inside.
The nearest maple trees are at least a kilometer away, and it hasn't been autumn for months.
The leaves are crisp, completely fresh, as if they were just picked.

Grandma saw them, silently collected them in a dustpan, took them to the stove, burned them, and for the whole next week she prayed almost nonstop.
She never explained anything to me directly. Only many years later, very reluctantly, she said:
"Sometimes… someone comes to mark their presence."

That phrase "comes to mark their presence" and those three dry leaves on the locked window — to this day, it's the strongest "this breaks the rules of reality" experience I've ever had.

So… what's the most mind-bending, "how the hell is this even possible?" thing that ever happened to you?
The one that still makes you feel like someone very briefly pulled the curtain between our world and… something else?

Call me delusional or crazy if you like. And I guess despite my stupid tough act, im kind of... afraid of being judged.

But I'm betting I'm fking not the only one experiencing these things. So fk it. Let's talk.

So. Stranger Things. Season 4. But no spoilers, don't worry.

Vul and I were rewatching it and we're getting to the final eps. And as we go, I start to get rly uncomfortable, bc this is NOT what I remember happening. Like SOME of the stuffs are the same but the plot diverges.

And as the last eps continue, things just keep going off in weird directions. But I'm quiet right? Like, I say "remind me to tell you something after" to Vul but leave it there.

So we finish. With an ending that is totally not what I remember, like I had CONVERSATIONS abt the "other" ending. But okay, crazy right?

Except.

When I asked Vul whether there was anything weird?

Same. And SAME DISCREPANCIES. Even NAMES changed. And weirder? There were ECHOES of the old ending, like props and stuffs that was way out of place, no reason for being there but in the original? Totally mattered. And she remembered stuffs that didn't happen.

Like. WHAT?

So. Has this kind of stuffs happened to any of you? Or am I just entirely insane? Gods, pls tell me Vul and me are not alone in this....
