North Dakotans are invited to bring a book and read silently on the public sidewalk outside their local library to show their opposition to Senate Bill 2307, a bill that targets library content. The North Dakota Senate passed the bill in a narrow vote last week, and it now heads to the North Dakota House for a hearing and a floor vote. #RightToReadND ✊✊

May 6, 2024 – Today, CDC Director Nirav D. Shah met with state health officials, public health emergency preparedness directors, state epidemiologists, and state public health veterinarians, and leadership from public health partner organizations to discuss farmworker protection and personal protective equipment (#PPE) for avian influenza.

My friend Tom Pitzen, who is a local #Gulfport artist, created this piece, which sits at the main entrance into Gulfport at Clymer Park. His daughter Josie and my daughter Katie hung out together for a long time and I was extremely privileged to watch it taking shape in his backyard. It was an unbelievably special experience.
