#DeepListening Day #155 — Randy Newman: Dark Matter (2017). our first listen. I dug it. Newman is one of those artists I always enjoy when I listen to him, yet the frequency of those listens don't seem to match the pleasure. so I'm not sure how often I will return to this. so I guess we'll see.

Und dieser Film baut seine gesamte Komik auf dieser sozialen Spannung auf. Ein Mann besucht die Eltern seiner Freundin. Ein Wochenende, das für alle zur Prüfung wird. Ein Vater, will entscheiden, ob dieser Mann seiner Tochter würdig ist. Das ist im Kern so ein archaisches Ritual, eigentlich wie gemacht, für eine Komödie. Mit Robert De Niro und Ben Stiller.
