I've been up for a little while.
Just turned the light on & sat down for breakfast. Immediately, there's a lorikeet outside insisting it's *their* food time. It's not. Now there are a dozen on the window sill & deck rails, staring, squawking, & judging me!
I've created a monster, a pretty, fluffy, squawky, rainbow monster!
*it's ok, I live in the bush, there's lots of foodโthey don't go hungry

Rainbow lorikeets typically have blue heads. These two had multi-coloured heads, with one more obvious than the other. I've never seen a lorikeet with anything but a blue head.

Well, I've never seen this behaviour from lorikeets before.
They're not fighting โreal fights are violent.
They're not having sexโthat's done, ummm, doggy style.
Are they just play-fighting?
