Well it's official. As of August 9 Boston Police will transition to P25 encrypted, no more analog.

There will be delayed official BPD feeds via something called RapidSOS.

Here's an informative video about the laws surrounding #radioScanning in the #uk. Turns out there has been much skullduggery from the UK government.

It really helps drive home the fact that #canadians take a lot of our protections for granted. We have an enormous amount of work to do, but in some areas we shine.

Imagine jailing a 17 year old for being interested in the electromagnetic spectrum! Unthinkable in this country. Right?

Now that I know how to build mobile applications, I think I'm going to try my hand at building a better SDR Android app.

The ones I've tested work okay, but all seem to have some fairly major user experience flaws.

If you use an SDR (things like rtl-sdr) on an Android phone or would like to, what features would you like to see? What things need to be done better than other applications?
