Quilt finish day! This is one of my favorite quilts ever, I think. It's a 5'x5' throw made of shirting fabrics I'd collected. Some came from random fabric sales and others came from a friend who graciously gave me the stash she was too old to use.

Foundation-paper pieced, hand-quilted.

I used a Meow-a-pa-looza cat block and a bunch of cool shirting I got from a friend who was moving into assisted living.

You can see the method in the third pic -- I wanted the circles to reflect the block size so I pinned a cloth template on and used a Hera marker to trace it. It wasn't as successful as I'd have liked because it drifted, but it was a good experiment.

New quilt finish today. I call it "Bulls (Still) on Parade, or, Rage Against the Budget(s)."

Machine-pieced and quilted. More details in the next post. I've given it to my church since it's too big (feelings-wise, not logistics-wise) to hang at home, but I may borrow it on occasion. #quilting #QuiltsOfMastodon

A few weeks ago I finished my first quilt designed specifically to be a wall hanging (for my office) in a fish scale pattern that I invented in 2012, made a bunch of quilts for my friends in, and haven’t really seen anywhere else to this day.
