I used a Meow-a-pa-looza cat block and a bunch of cool shirting I got from a friend who was moving into assisted living.
You can see the method in the third pic -- I wanted the circles to reflect the block size so I pinned a cloth template on and used a Hera marker to trace it. It wasn't as successful as I'd have liked because it drifted, but it was a good experiment.
@platypus the white kitty with the little heart is such an adorable addition. All the scrappy plaids make this look so warm and cuddly.
Interesting idea using a cloth pattern instead of paper for the quilting. Before your experiment, I would have guessed cloth would drift less, because of the little bit of friction, so good to know
@inarticulatequilter i think it probably drifted less but little placement things still caused drift.
White kitty had a heart IRL, which was the cutest. So less creative on my end and more trying to ensure it was handled right.
