Troubleshooting Success Story

This week I’m handling media for an event with equipment which, by default, only lets me send audio from #ProPresenter either to the meeting room speakers (through embedded HDMI audio) or to #Zoom participants.

We were stumped how to send to both until Google University taught me that #macOS’s Audio #MIDI Setup app can create a virtual audio device with any number of real output devices defined.

Problem solved!

Story for my #geek friends:

Need to live demonstrate a mobile app at staff meeting. I try to *always* keep *all* content through #ProPresenter to avoid switching screens/inputs/computers.

Initially stymied because #AirPlay to Mac *only* does full screen. Ultimately remembered #QuickTime app can capture a USB-attached iPhone as a window instead of full screen. Once that was set up, #NDI Capture saw that window which I was able to overlay on a motion loop background in ProPresenter. Booyah!
