I'm a fan of #problematicfave David Chang. But in his memoir, he laughs about ppl not getting that his cookbook's "Red Dragon sauce" was just ssamjang.

Except it /wasn't/. He called for ssamjang itself as an ingredient in it, rather than gochujang. It ends up a weird sorta double ssamjang.
