Last night, for the first time, I was able to navigate a trigger with self soothing and self compassion. It wasn't easy. But neither is being triggered and ending up a shaking, sobbing mess. I'd rather be tired from the former than the latter!

It's taken a lot of therapy, time, and effort to get here. And there's no guarantee I'll be able to do it the next time. But I will be able to do it again some time, and it will be easier. And easier again after that. It's possible I may always experience triggers, but I can, and have, shown myself that it's possible to live with them instead of being controlled by them.

It sucks we have to work so hard to fix what others fucked up for us. It's not fair. But, it is worth it. It really is 🫂💜

I’ve really been pushing myself to use my Canon R5 pretty much every opportunity possible in order to get better at taking photos. Many pictures are still quite trash but the good ones are really good! #practicemakesbetter
So apparently I'm not a bad shot. I always assumed I would be.

Copied the eyes from my favorite manga (A SIGN OF AFFECTION).

Yuki's eyes are so sparkling.

Today's eyes are also inspired by WAY OF THE HOUSE HUSBAND and the more angular style of eyes.

Also thinking about like, how does this style convey differences. I think the eyes look more mature than the round style, which makes sense.

Forgot to post this yesterday. Expanding the style of eyes.

Been watching THE WAY OF THE HOUSE HUSBAND lately. The eyes in that show are a lot more angular. Lines instead of curves.

I actually really like this style. As always symmetry is my curse.

I think the hardest part of eyes is drawing them the same :x

To cling is to suffer. This is especially true when you’re dying.

Practice letting go while you’re alive…every day, let go of people, feelings, or thoughts that no longer serve you.

@lime_juice_cube If you are on your own time line, I agree you should work up your own artwork. You will get better the more you do, and I mean do lots. If what you've shown is 15 minutes effort, slot to do 8 in the same day, different concepts of the same required image, version after version. In a few weeks, you'll be able to decide if it'll work for you, and you'll be a better artist. At some point, you'll have to be truthful with yourself if you'd pay the cover price for your game—but wait to see how much you've improved first.

I hesitate to suggest this, but you can also try AI art, but keep in mind it is often subtly strange and in a sense it is taking food off some artist's plate. #practicemakesperfect #practicemakesbetter #art
