Today's are from Maomao of the APOTHECARY DIARIES.
Today's eyes are probably the simplest yet. Took a few days off but getting right back into it.
They're a copy of Kiyo's from Maiko-san Chi no Makanai-san
Copied the eyes from my favorite manga (A SIGN OF AFFECTION).
Yuki's eyes are so sparkling.
Today's eyes are also inspired by WAY OF THE HOUSE HUSBAND and the more angular style of eyes.
Also thinking about like, how does this style convey differences. I think the eyes look more mature than the round style, which makes sense.

Been watching THE WAY OF THE HOUSE HUSBAND lately. The eyes in that show are a lot more angular. Lines instead of curves.
I actually really like this style. As always symmetry is my curse.
I think the hardest part of eyes is drawing them the same :x
Been doing a lot of thinking about my daily art.
It needed to be simple, pencil only (at least for now), and I wanted something that helps me towards my goal. That goal being the ability to draw cute anime/manga characters.
So, January is going to be all about the eyes. Different eyes every day, basics first, then maybe with some emotion later in the month.
