I bought a lot of merino pre-yarn in Kuchenheim last week, hoping it would work like unspun Icelandic Plötulopi. But it’s MUCH more brittle, loose, soft with much shorter fibers (turned out, from Australian wool, not regional 😞). Trying it now with a thin strand of boucle and mohair, which works quite well as it carries and stabilizes the fluffy merino. Now what to make of it? I probably have two sweaters worth of merino, or four slip-overs, 20 hats … anyone need anything? It’s been pretty cold lately :)
