A slightly belated #knitting #WIPWednesday - I was traveling and had left the #lace project behind. (A: it's not a travel project, and B: I had introduced an error. NB: mohair is not fun to #tink.)

It is nearly time to shift to a longer circular, if only to make it easier to photograph!

Not a lot of progress this past week as I was away, but still enjoying this project. The pattern is Nim's Windflower #shawl, the yarn is Lichen & Lace (#NB) Marsh Mohair in the variegated sage.

It has been a busy week, lacking any travel so the blanket got no work. The _Windflower_ #shawl got what little attention I gave to #knitting. And, honestly, is going faster than I expected.

Still far less than 1/3 complete.

Update on my shawl. Finished the transition between the greens and the reds (summer and fall).

Back onto the tunisian knit stitch before winter starts.

The highlight of this holiday season for me is that I was able to give away a prized possession to someone who would really cherish it.

In 1984, I bought my mom a gift: a typical shawl from Michoacán, Mexico. When Mom passed, I kept the shawl, and it’s spent years in drawer. This Christmas, I’ve passed it on to a young woman who loves textiles. She even works with them in an art museum.
