Me most of June: "I need to find a small hamper for the washcloths and rags I tend to wash separately from most of my other laundry... I'll ask my husband his thoughts on spacing and see if he can grab one..."
Me today: "Oh, wait, I have #crochet -ed a small and large basket out of old grocery bag #Plarn and can use one for the washcloths/towels and the other for my hand-knit socks... thus making for easier "chuck this in and go" laundry pre-sorting.
The larger crocheted basket with two handles made with chunky Plarn (Plastic Yarn) made out of old Kroger grocery bags. The pattern is Chunky Crochet Basket by Elizabeth Pardue as featured in the Crochet in Color blog.
This and the smaller basket will go along with the orange-and-white washcloths to make a complete gift-set for when I need a random gift (housewarming, bat mitzvah, someone gave me a gift I didn't expect, etc.)
#introduction - i guess I'll keep doing this?
I read/listen to things abt #cults & #urbanlegends - I'm curious about #belief but not looking for #religion. (I'm #exchurchofchrist deconstructed/ #formerchristian). I do read about religion. A lot.
Other stuff:
#crossstitch - a bit stuck on a pattern of #godzilla.
#crochet - with yarn - i used #plarn for a bit to make tote bags out of used plastic bags
#drawing (badly)
#postcrossing - i like to send/ receive mail from strangers
For #sunDIY I wanted to post more #plarn (plastic yarn) adventures, but I haven't gotten my paws on bigger #crochet hooks yet. I'm trying to avoid going straight to the big box stores to buy them and ask around free/trade groups and check out secondhand shops first. I miss the instant gratification, but it'd be so much nicer to give a home to someone's neglected supplies!
My first intended project is a netted produce bag, but I should maybe start with something smaller first.
