I was asked to play in a Petanque league cup match this evening for our team (The Railway Rockets)
We lost the first game 13-0 and won the second game 13-4. We were playing The Shardlow Old Crown team.
A thoroughly good evening in excellent company.

I dare not look out the curtains - the wind is fierce and I think i can hear rain battering on the window,
If this is correct then I hope the weather god's realise their mistake pretty quickly.

The Petanque club is due to be reopening today and I've planned to cycle down there.
The council have restored the electricity to the clubhouse although there are new problems with water to the men's toilets.
The committee have decided on a grand reopening at lunchtime today. The bar will be open and there's cut price crisps & chocolate (I suspect they're extremely short dated!).
It'll be good to get my chucking arm moving again - particularly Asim in a league match on Wednesday.

Sacha wants the car to visit one of her pals (and it is her car after all) so I'll take my eBike to the club at Western Park.

But I want it to be dry!

I hope your weather gods are more compliant than mine today.
