After years of “standalone” features that were just too clunky to use, I am moving back to the open ecosystem that started it all. Why?

Waiting for my Pebble Time 2. I recollect the person-becomes-a-skeleton image of the pre-memes era. All is not in despair, as I just found a few lucky people on here get theirs. I'm not excited about putting on my #PixelWatch anymore. I can't wait for my #Pebble Time 2 to arrive in the next month or so. I really want to try out all the cool new apps and watch faces that have flooded into the store.

Got my new #PebbleTime2. First impressions: I think the old display might be better, the UI hasn't been changed much for the higher resolution and is quite sparse for the amount of screen real estate that's available. I do appreciate that the battery percentage has an additional digit so it can show more than 10% increments. The old charger appears to work, as the new USB C one works on my old #PebbleTimeSteel.

Feels like the same watch though!
