A surprise guest during a summer sunset in Greater Poland 🇵🇱

I was visiting family when this incredible sky started brewing. Suddenly, I heard a strange engine sound—something between a car and a plane. Out of nowhere, a paramotor drifted into the frame! A warm evening with unbelievable colors and a lucky moment caught on camera 🪂

Sometimes beauty finds you exactly where you are. I was in the southern part of Greater Poland visiting family when a spectacular sunset began to develop 🌅

I was already taking photos, but I didn't expect what happened next. I heard a mechanical hum—a sound I couldn't quite place. Then, a paramotor appeared, silhouetted against the vibrant orange and purple sky. It was one of those rare, serendipitous moments where everything aligns perfectly. The person flying up there must have had an even better view than I did, but I’m happy I could capture this frame. It perfectly sums up the peace of a warm Polish summer evening.

Practical Tip: When shooting fast-moving subjects like a paramotor against a bright sunset, you need to manage your exposure carefully. Since this is essentially a silhouette shot, I exposed for the highlights in the sky to keep those deep oranges and reds from "blowing out." If you have a high-resolution sensor, don't be afraid to shoot slightly wider and crop in later to perfect the composition of the flyer against the clouds 📸
